Home / Facility Partners
For Care Setting Partners

A staffing partner that extends your care team — never replaces it.

Mellow Care partners with independent living, assisted living, adult family homes, memory care, and skilled nursing to provide licensed, non-medical private-duty support — coordinated respectfully with your team, on your terms.

Who We Support

Complementary care, matched to how your care setting is licensed.

We do not provide skilled nursing, secured memory care, or facility-level care. What we offer is flexible, private-duty staffing support — scheduled and supervised alongside your existing team.

01

Independent & Retirement Communities

Full Non-Medical Support

Housing and amenities are your community's strength. When residents want more hands-on support without leaving, we bring it to them.

  • Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility
  • Meal preparation, light housekeeping & laundry
  • Companionship & safety check-ins
  • Escort to on-site or off-site appointments
02

Assisted Living Communities

Supplemental Private-Duty Care

Your staff already provides licensed care. We add the 1:1 attention that staffing ratios can't always stretch to cover.

  • 1:1 companion support beyond staffing ratios
  • Extra ADL assistance during high-need windows
  • Family-requested oversight & visit companionship
  • Respite coverage for family caregivers
03

Adult Family Homes (AFH)

Supplemental Private-Duty Care

Small-home, high-touch care is already the AFH model. We add extra 1:1 attention when the home's own staffing capacity is stretched.

  • Extra 1:1 attention beyond the home's staffing capacity
  • Respite coverage for the home's caregiving staff
  • Scheduled with the home operator's sign-off
04

Memory Care Units

Trained Companion Sitters

Security and clinical dementia care stay with your team. We supply dementia-informed companionship alongside it.

  • Dementia-informed 1:1 companionship
  • Support alongside your clinical & secured-unit staff
  • Family peace-of-mind coverage during transitions
  • No responsibility for elopement/security — remains with facility
05

Nursing Homes / Skilled Nursing

Private-Duty Companion Sitters

Skilled nursing is your license, not ours. We offer non-clinical companion sitting that families can arrange privately.

  • Non-medical companion sitting
  • Extra presence & comfort support, non-clinical
  • Scheduled around your nursing staff's routine
  • No skilled or medical tasks performed

What Mellow Care is — and isn't, inside your care setting. Mellow Care operates strictly within its WAC 246-335 non-medical home care license. We do not perform skilled nursing tasks, administer medication, or assume clinical or security responsibility within your care setting. Every placement is documented through a facility-specific service agreement, and our caregivers are background-checked, trained, and supervised per Washington State requirements.

Who pays for Mellow Care's services?

It depends on the agreement. Sometimes the resident's family pays directly; sometimes your care setting does, if it's covering a staffing gap. We structure this in the service agreement, whichever fits your situation.

Can we end the partnership if it's not working?

Yes. Either party can end the service agreement with written notice — there's no long-term lock-in.

We Talk

A Note From Our Founder

Why we partner — and who it's really for.

When people ask why Mellow Care partners with care settings like yours, the honest answer isn't complicated. It comes down to one belief: the way we treat our elders today is the way life treats us in our own old age. Kindness returns. So does neglect.

That belief is why every partnership is built the same way — respectfully, within scope, and coordinated on your care setting's terms. We're not doing this for your residents only. We're doing it because we know that, one day, we'll need the same kindness ourselves.

"Old is gold, and every one of us is a future elder." — Eline Anderson Msuya, Founder & Administrator

Referral-Friendly

A simple channel for families who want more support than standard staffing ratios allow — without your care setting taking on the liability.

II.

Directly Accountable

Every caregiver is employed and supervised directly by Mellow Care — not a subcontractor, not a staffing pool. One agency, one point of accountability.

III.

Respectful Coordination

We work on your terms — check-in protocols, visiting hours, and communication with your care team, all set by your care setting.

IV.

Family Peace of Mind

Residents and families get extra attention and continuity, while your team stays focused on core facility operations.

Every partnership starts with a conversation — not a contract. Let's talk about where extra support would help your care setting most.
