Mellow Care partners with independent living, assisted living, adult family homes, memory care, and skilled nursing to provide licensed, non-medical private-duty support — coordinated respectfully with your team, on your terms.
We do not provide skilled nursing, secured memory care, or facility-level care. What we offer is flexible, private-duty staffing support — scheduled and supervised alongside your existing team.
Housing and amenities are your community's strength. When residents want more hands-on support without leaving, we bring it to them.
Your staff already provides licensed care. We add the 1:1 attention that staffing ratios can't always stretch to cover.
Small-home, high-touch care is already the AFH model. We add extra 1:1 attention when the home's own staffing capacity is stretched.
Security and clinical dementia care stay with your team. We supply dementia-informed companionship alongside it.
Skilled nursing is your license, not ours. We offer non-clinical companion sitting that families can arrange privately.
What Mellow Care is — and isn't, inside your care setting. Mellow Care operates strictly within its WAC 246-335 non-medical home care license. We do not perform skilled nursing tasks, administer medication, or assume clinical or security responsibility within your care setting. Every placement is documented through a facility-specific service agreement, and our caregivers are background-checked, trained, and supervised per Washington State requirements.
It depends on the agreement. Sometimes the resident's family pays directly; sometimes your care setting does, if it's covering a staffing gap. We structure this in the service agreement, whichever fits your situation.
Yes. Either party can end the service agreement with written notice — there's no long-term lock-in.
A short conversation about your care setting, your residents, and where extra support would genuinely help.
A simple, facility-specific service agreement — reviewed by your team, on your terms, before anything begins.
Background-checked, trained caregivers begin private-duty visits, scheduled around your staff's routine.

When people ask why Mellow Care partners with care settings like yours, the honest answer isn't complicated. It comes down to one belief: the way we treat our elders today is the way life treats us in our own old age. Kindness returns. So does neglect.
That belief is why every partnership is built the same way — respectfully, within scope, and coordinated on your care setting's terms. We're not doing this for your residents only. We're doing it because we know that, one day, we'll need the same kindness ourselves.
"Old is gold, and every one of us is a future elder." — Eline Anderson Msuya, Founder & Administrator
A simple channel for families who want more support than standard staffing ratios allow — without your care setting taking on the liability.
Every caregiver is employed and supervised directly by Mellow Care — not a subcontractor, not a staffing pool. One agency, one point of accountability.
We work on your terms — check-in protocols, visiting hours, and communication with your care team, all set by your care setting.
Residents and families get extra attention and continuity, while your team stays focused on core facility operations.
Every partnership starts with a conversation — not a contract. Let's talk about where extra support would help your care setting most.
Whether you manage one care setting or several, we'll follow up personally to understand your residents' needs before proposing anything.

No obligation, no pressure. This starts as a conversation about your care setting — not a sales pitch. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you honestly.
